Hey everyone this Akash Jha , I have been a part of Crio Winter of Doing.
Since I wanted to get started with the development career having no experience with developer journey and that’s where I started to look for developer community to get started with it.
I was not enough motivated to how should I start and what resource I will be needed?? and therefore after searching different programs on Internet I found out Crio.Do Program which really excited me to join this .
The program tag is to get hand’s dirty with the coding by learning Tech hands-on and building some amazing projects in the journey of learning.
First of all it started with filling the application form where details were asked and some questions regarding why you need to join this program and some more questions …
Later, on I got confirmation email about the selection of CWOD and program get started on 9th Jan 2021 .I was really excited to be part of it with learning new Tech and joining the community members.
On the first day ,the program started with the orientation about all the details and explanation that how we will be getting started? The program basically comprises of 3 stages ,where in first stage some basics about web and its technology was to be taught which was around 2-weeks program.
In the second stage the web development journey was to be started with hands-on projects through the learning.
In the third stage the real industries projects was to given which will be a team event, where we need to work upon the industry projects and solve some real-life challenges. This actually excited to be a part of this program where Crio.Do have partnered with the different organization to get us know real-life problems and how it can be solved through coding.
In 2-weeks of Stage-1 we have been taught with the basics of HTTP, Rest API ,Linux, Git and AWS deployment. The sessions was held at the evening with side-by-side experimenting what they have been taught..
The mentors on Crio was something ,I seems was looking for who can help the developers to get solved there queries and get to know our mistakes .The mentors are really experienced with strong commands on their core development side and really good industry experience.
We have also had some talk series with Co-founder of Flipkart Binny Bansal ,Co-founder of HackerRank Vivek Ravishankar and Developer Relations Manager of GitHub Karan MV. They shared about their industry experience and how beginner should start their developer journey and various insights about it.
The slack communities members was filled with full of enthusiasm about asking their doubts, helping each other to solve their queries and of latest program announcements.
The stage-1 was also having some bonus modules which can be completed to build our own portfolio website which comprises of Full-Stack Tech-Stack which I found very useful to build some hands-on projects.
The Key Points which found useful I would like to summarize:
- To gets hands-on dirty with Learn by Doing the coding throughout the program.
- The mentors are industry experience with Sr. developers.
- The communities members where doubts are to be solved with the peer member and mentors.
- The bonus module which included to build our portfolio website.
- The sessions with the industry experts.
I am very much glad while writing this blog to be part of this CWOD and excited to join the stage-2 of this Crio.Do.
